Privacy
The controller of personal data processed by Freely is the individual who runs it as a personal, non-commercial project, reachable at reports@freely.fans.
What we hold
- Account: email, password hash, handle, display name, date of birth.
- Verification: legal name, date of birth, a photo of your ID and a selfie holding it. Seen only by reviewers, never published. Legal basis: our legal obligation to keep minors and non-consenting people off the site, and our legitimate interest in doing so.
- Releases: consent forms and ID for other people in your posts. Same handling as verification documents.
- Content: what you publish. We remove location, camera and other embedded metadata from photos and videos before they go live.
- Marked copies: when you unlock a supporters-only post, the photos and videos you see are copies carrying an invisible mark tied to your account, and we record who received which copy. If a copy is shared elsewhere, the creator can upload it here to find out whose it was. Legal basis: the creator's and our legitimate interest in preventing paid content from being leaked.
- Reports: what a reporter tells us, and their email if they give it.
We use one session cookie to keep you logged in and one cookie to remember that you confirmed you are 18. No advertising or analytics trackers.
How long
Until you delete your account, which removes your content and documents at once. If content was removed for breaking the law we may keep records we need to report it.
Your rights
You can ask for a copy of your data, a correction, or deletion, by emailing reports@freely.fans. You can complain to the Data Protection Commission (Ireland) or your local authority.
